Description

Cheesy Sausage Wonton Cups are a simple yet irresistible appetizer made with sausage, cheese, peppers, ranch dressing, and wonton wraps. Perfect for parties, gatherings, or any occasion, these crispy, cheesy bites are loaded with flavor and easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb of original country sausage
  • 8 oz Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 3/4 cup chopped red and green bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 12 oz wonton wraps

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the sausage and drain any excess grease.
  2. While the sausage is cooking, place the wonton wraps in a muffin pan and bake at 350°F for 5-10 minutes until they are lightly browned.
  3. Chop the red and green bell peppers into small pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the browned sausage, shredded Mexican blend cheese, chopped peppers, and ranch dressing. Stir everything together.
  5. Fill each wonton cup with the sausage and cheese mixture.
  6. Return the filled wonton cups to the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the cups are golden brown.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, substitute bell peppers with fresh or pickled jalapeños.
  • If you prefer, you can use cheddar, Colby Jack, or any other cheese you like instead of the Mexican blend.
  • These wonton cups reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
  • You can freeze the assembled wontons before baking and bake them from frozen.
