- 1 cup blueberries

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish (11×7 or 12×8 inches works best).
- Cut the Hawaiian rolls into 1-inch cubes.
- Layer half of the cubed rolls in the bottom of the dish and top with half of the blueberries. Repeat with the remaining bread and blueberries.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread and blueberries slowly, ensuring that every piece of bread is soaked.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- After 40 minutes, uncover the dish and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is slightly wobbly.
- Remove from the oven, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm with maple syrup, if desired.
Notes
- If you want to make this dish ahead of time, prepare it the night before, cover with foil, and refrigerate. Bake the next morning with a few extra minutes added to the cook time.
- Substitute blueberries with other berries, such as raspberries or blackberries, for a twist on the classic recipe.
- For a chocolatey variation, add 1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips in place of the berries.
